Where can I donate clothes? — Brooklynian

Where can I donate clothes?

I'm interested in donating a fair amount of lightly worn clothing (men's and women's) to an area charity or church clothing bank. Does anyone have any advice on where to go/who I might call?

Many thanks.

  • There's a Salvation Army on Flatbush and St. Marks. The exact location is available on their website.
  • There are donation boxes on Myrtle near where Planet Pleasure used to be.
  • I believe there is also a donation box near the gas station on the corner of Vanderbilt & Myrtle.

I went looking for the donation bins that I also thought were near the White Castlee on Myrtle, but I didn't see them . . . did I just miss them somehow or have they been relocated? Any help or an alternate location for clothing donation would be most appreciated. Thanks!!
  • There is also a donation box on Grand Ave off Putnam Ave next to the pet shop. There is a Salvation Army dropoff on Quincy St and Downing by the Broken Angel.Goodwill on Fulton St tween Franklin and Classon also accepts donations.

Yeah, I think those were removed. I went looking for them the other day, too. The one on Vanderbilt is still there, though.
  • There's a Goodwill on Fulton between Claver Pl and Franklin also.
