movie shooting in the slope tonight
It's about midnight on thursday-friday. There is a movie shooting going on around the 7th ave F stop. Anyone know what movie it is? There are a lot of film crews all along 8th ave. I read one of the no-parking signs and it said what the production was for, but I forget and I wanted to look it up on imdb.

As noted, Diminished Capacity was shooting at Eighth Avenue and Eighth Street in Park Slope yesterday. though we didn't catch the thick of the action or any make any celeb sightings. No Matthew Broderick. No Virginia Madsen. But it did look like a nice catering setup in the basement of St. Saviour's Church.

Oh, I only wish that art imitated life as Karl the Druid so laughingly described above, but, alas, this seems to be some other type of comedy...
"Despite what the title suggests, Diminished Capacity has not seen a reduced interest in the acting community. Matthew Broderick, Virginia Madsen and Alan Alda have all signed on to the comedy about a family and memory loss, says Variety.
The plot is forgettable comedy gold – a man (Broderick) bumps his head and loses his memory. Obviously, the next course of action involves him taking a trip with his Alzheimer-suffering uncle (Alda) and his high school sweetheart (Madsen) to a trade show, where the rag-tag bunch comes up with a scheme to sell a rare baseball card. It’s ok, I’m as confused as you are.
Shooting begins this spring in New York and Chicago. Bobby Cannavale and Lois Smith are also sign to star in this bizarre comedy directed by Terry Kinney." -

so this doesn't involve a double-wide stroller and a critical mass guy having a stand off on a crowded 7th avenue sidewalk?
[scene: stand off, day three]
"i'm still not moving"
"me neither, you shouldn't be on the side walk with your bike, its illegal"
"well you shouldn't have taken fertility drugs, you double-wide yuppie cow"
"and you shouldn't have spent two grand on a mountian bike, you trust fund spandex freak"
isn't this so much better than another comedy about alzheimers syndrome?
