Anyone ever have gum graftign done on their teeth? — Brooklynian

Anyone ever have gum graftign done on their teeth?

Was is painful?

Comments

  • I found some reviews from people who have had it done.

They say the aftermath is painful.

Just remind yourself that some people go through alot more pain than that everyday. Amputations , getting shot , giving birth , cancer , etc.

You'll heal and be fine. No more pain , it'll be just a memory.

    Goodluck.

When i was 19 i had skin grafted off the roof of my mouth and stitched onto a patch of thinning gums. The first time it didn't heal or attach properly, and they had to do it again.

Painful? No, not that I can remember. Uncomfortable, yes. Felt like when you burn the roof of your mouth on hot pizza. Nothing too bad. And when it comes to saving your teeth or improving your smile, damn near anything is acceptable. I came to learn that after years of orthodontics, braces, jaw surgery, a root canal, chipped teeth, crowns, all before i turned 20. Thanks, Mom and Dad, for picking up the tab. :D
  • My cousin had it done by Dr. Zidile and was completely satisfied especially since it had failed 3 times by other periodontists.
