Neville Brothers Concert.. Were you there? — Brooklynian

Neville Brothers Concert.. Were you there?

edited November -1 in Park Slope
I did go to the concert last night and had a great time. The boys played straight through for the better part of 2 hours and they were terrific. The crowd was large and well behaved. I can't say I am interested in many of the artists booked for Celebrate Brooklyn but last night was a great start to the season. So were YOU there and did I meet you?
I was one of the thousands women dancing around to the music with a baby in my arms.

  • Nah, I blew it off when I suddenly realized that my train was full of people from Manhattan coming to take up space in my park. And I'm fairly certain from overheard conversations that most weren't familiar with the Neville Brothers work.

I bet what you say is true.. But let me tell you I was boogieing (now how do you spell that?..looks wrong to me) with some people who like me could and did sing along with every word while we danced.

At the end the throngs left the park in an orderly manner.
A good time was had by all even if they just showed up for the experience and not the music.
