Pioneer vs Associated — Brooklynian

Pioneer vs Associated

I picked up a few staples from Pioneer Supermarket on Lafayette yesterday for only the second time but I have to say that I was impressed by the place.

The aisles seem a little wider than Associated and it seems to have better lighting. I'm not really sure about the prices as I was only getting milk and juice.

How do other feel the two places compare?

  • I would have to agree that the Pioneer is a very nice grocery store. I even noticed that all of the products were perfectly aligned on the shelves and made a comment to the manager about it. The only downside is that the selection is not as varied and the hours of operation are not as long as the Associated. That is why I think more people shop there. If Pioneer started carrying more products, and kept longer hours, it would win between the two hands down.
