Hiring an Interior Decorator for a couple hours?

Hi,

We are taking possession of a new PS condo/apartment in August. The place has a couple unusual spaces and we are hopeless when it comes to envisioning how we might make the best use of the space.

I am guessing that there are all kinds of interior decorators that hire themselves out to advise homeowner/renters, however as we are in Canada and Googling hasnt yielded the desired info, I thought I'd turn to this list.

Recommendations for particular individuals or firms are welcome, but a comprehensive list or Best-Of-List would be even more welcome.

Just a thought, try placing an ad at the career office of Fashion Institute of Technology. They have a well thought of interior design program.

You might want to just take a picture of the spaces and email them to/post them at the "Good Questions" section of the Apartment Therapy blog (http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/). I've done it before for a few things and the readers and owner of the blog are super-helpful.
