Stuff Near NYU campus?

Hi All,

I need to put together a list of cheap places to eat near NYU (breakfast, lunch, dinner, bakeries, coffee, pubs, joints, etc.) as well as a list of places to just hang out. This list is for a group of conference attendees. Since I am still relatively new to New York, any suggestions would be great. I have been to numerous websites, Zagat, Yelp, and all those sites that rate places and did find some suggestions, but I am really interested in local, insider knowledge about the NYU area.

As you know there really isn't any one NYU campus - it's spread all over the place. Here's a start...

And, don't forget the dosa cart man on the corner of Washington Square - the best veggie Indian food in town
