New coffee/free wifi (!) spot in BedStuy
I'm currently sitting in the Tiny Cup, located on Nostrand and Clifton (right near the new dunkin donuts) enjoying a eg and cheddar panini with a fresh chickpea salad and an iced coffee for $4.88 total AND enjoying the wifi (which is super fast.) This place is adorable- cute decor, friendly staff, very bright with lots of windows, and what looks like a GREAT reasonbly priced menu (theres a woman eating frenched toast with strawberries next to me tht looks DIVINE)
I dont work here or anything (promise!) but I'm so excited to have such a cute new spot in the hood (esp a block from my house!)
If you ever see a girl with pink and purple hair in here, say hi

I have not looked at the menu, but I did go inside and Bed Stuy has quickly become a place where it is very easy to find a nice place to eat on many corners. Lisa Bayer, the owner, has hit a grand slam in the early innings and has accelerated the growth of an under served section of Brooklyn. Calling all entrepeneurs, there are business opportunities with the greatest potential in all of Brooklyn still available in Bed Stuy. Don't miss this boat.

I think after reading this thread, and the posts you spammed across two other threads, we're well aware of the existance of Tiny cup now. Just FYI.

Trying to be productive, but I see you would prefer multiple threads about... I know, shootings or something else you could use.

gourmand, if you have a problem with me, go ahead and PM me, please.

I don't have a problem with you that I couldn't handle I just think taking action is more effective than three of the four top threads being about the least of the community. I choose to "spam" about the building up of the community rather than the shooting down. Support local good businesses - of which we have many opening every month - and the crime will decrease and quality of life will improve. Leave Paris Hilton to Paris Hilton, and get her off of the news

Noble intent, but it's coming across like a "hard sell" and may actually put some people off. Just a thought.
If you want to talk about something other than the shootings, that's fine, but there are other things to talk about aside from businesses, no? -
Community activities, the Y, basketball tournament on Halsey and Tompkins and Kingston and Atlantic and Tillary, big event at Von King pk on Aug. 5th noon to 6:00pm. It is not about the business Queen it is about culture and dining and art and decorating your house and the quality of life where we live. I never mentioned my business so it is no "hard sell"; most of the businesses I recently acquainted myself with to improve my neighborhood instead of doing nothing about the condition. Come to the Jazz Spot on Sat. the 28th and I will be there all 240 lbs. of me making sure it is safe.

but my point is, each one of those things could individually be a discussion you could start. Why not...start it?
