Subway Harassment Questionnaire Garners a Big Response
By Sewell Chan
Nearly 1,800 people responded to an online questionnaire by the Manhattan borough president’s office about sexual harassment on the subway. Though the findings are not statistically significant, the response suggests that a large number of subway riders, women in particular, believe there is a problem. (more)

How could they tell with all those pressing bodies in that sardine can in the morning that what they experienced was sexual? I had a lady press her breasts into my face a dozen times on the 4 and 5, women's butts pressing against my crotch thosands of times - I got used to it, it's not that they want to harass me, there is no room for modesty on the train anymore - and the heat on 34th street station is so overwhelming we cathch people, men and women, faint with heat exhaustion - some women remove their garments because of the heat. Then they get into a packed subway car and press against equally overheated men - a few more degrees and we will be falling like flies - - is a Chinese guy slipping between a woman's legs to get a seat count as sexual harassment? I saw a couple of asian girls nest under a guys bud on the bus steps because there was no room to close the bus doors - were they harassed or was he?

Yeah, you can tell the difference between an accidental brush up and the crotch grind. Or the boob/butt graze. Some guys don't even try to pretend it's an accident. I will never forget the happy little man who flashed me at the Court St. Station. I was bringing my last kitty home as a "foster" and while waiting for the train I looked up to see this guy holding a folded newspaper in front of him. He moved it away and there was his little friend poking out of his pants. He was quite pleased with himself, grinning at me like we were sharing a joke. After I got on the train he was smiling like a little kid and waved at me as it pulled away!

its so overcrowded its almost impossible to tell if your being harassed or not

Cass, I would have said to him "Mine's bigger!" as I got on the train.
Would have wiped that smile right off his face!
