Berkeley Carroll Day Care

Does anyone have any experience with the Day Care center at Berkeley Carroll? I wonder if there is a waiting list or how difficult is in to get in? I would be starting my child at one-year of age.

  • My son went there part time when he was 2-3 (which was 9 years ago). It was a wonderful experience for him. Unfortunately I could only afford part time and I did not get put on a waiting list and I think I applied about 2 weeks before the September semester. I think the waiting list was more for the full timers but I would call and find out now just to make sure. They were expanding when we left but all in all it was a great place for my son to spend some time. You can tell that the teachers and staff really enjoy their job. I never saw any of them angry and react any way to a child except in a caring manner. Also it was very, very clean even in the toddler area.
  • My daughter has a close friend that sent her child for Daycare here.. as recently as 2 years ago.. very expensive but a great experience for the kid and wonderful security for parents knowing the kid is in this kind of environment. Many parents who have their kids in the daycare go on to have their kids accepted to the School itself.

I have taught many kids (privately) who were attending BC or had graduated from this school My impression of all those kids (in my case no exceptions.. but could have been luck) .. this school has a great philosophy of learning. The teaching staff creates a calm, warm atmosphere that helps kids learn; creativity is encouraged; a true love of learning abounds.
  • i went to Berkeley Carroll (1st-12th grades)--- and it really is an amazing place!
