Up for adoption: the Kittens of Bushwick

we took in a young stray who had 4 kittens in mid-June. they're all doing well, one has been adopted out already, now we need homes for the other 3. All three are males, two are ginger-colored, one is gray and white. they're just over 6 weeks old now, are very well-socialized and extremely entertaining. see the pix below and please spread the word!

Lotsa photos here:

"Big Giant Head"
This male ginger kitten is gonna be a big adult from the looks of him. His head is really big, and his eyes are set farther apart than usal (which makes him a little wall-eyed now). But from the size of his skull and his paws, I'd say he's setting the stage to be one big boy when he grows up. Despite his gargantuan size, he's a bit of a momma's boy but is as playful as the others.

"Littleface"
More proportionate (for the time being) than his ginger brother Big Giant Head, this male kitten's facial features are conveniently located at the tip of his head, giving him the classic kitten details. Of all the kittens, he is the most people-oriented, he loves to play with humans. Of course, he roughouses with the kittens as well, but he always runs straight to us when we enter the room. First kitten to learn to use a litterbox, which is big points in my book!

"The Instigator"
Precocious from birth, this male gray and white kitten has always been a step ahead of the rest of the litter. He learned to walk first, eat solid food, play and generally behave like a real cat before any of the others. I'm pretty sure they learned how to do everything from watching him. He's very high energy now, but also will curl up and sleep next to any humans in the area. Definitely will be a cat that owns his human and not the other way around.

thanks folks!

  • I love them all....So cute! I hope they all find great homes......Thanks for taking care of them until they do
  • I'll take all of them thanks. Oh wait, 4 cats of my own plus 2 foster cats plus 2 dogs plus 3 kittens = Crazy Cat Lady! Damn, I may have to rethink this.

I'll add them to my list of kitties I know who need adopting. I'll have to change my flyer at work to attract more attention. Something like, "I know where there be kitteh bellies!"

P.S. For anyone who doesn't know, I have a flyer up at work for my 2 foster cats. Underneath it is a sign with my contact info that says there are many more available.
  • I just watched the whole slide show. Adorable, all of them!
  • The Instigator really looks like your kitty Flexi!
    So cute!
  • Yes, he does...but my kitty is an angel. Now, Stella Maria, on the other hand... :-)
  • hey folks, just a note to get this post removed from the sticky section: all 3 kittens have now been spoken for!

the ginger cats are moving in together in East Williamsburg and the Instigator is heading to Prospect Heights. Not bad for alleykittens from South Bushwick.

Special thanks to Leozoeypiper for helping to post ads, which were directly responsible for meeting the nice folks who are adopting the brothers. here's hoping all the cats on this board find good homes!
  • Woohoo! That's marvelous news!
  • Yay! Great news! Good job!
