Liberty Heights Taproom

This sounds good (originally posted on the Park Slope message board). Has anyone been?

The Liberty Heights Taproom.

Corner of Van Dyke and Dwight in Red Hook. Six Point brewery located in the back of the courtyard. All Six Point on tap, all the time, direct from the brewery in the backyard. HUGE roof top deck. Brick oven pizza. Live music. Pool table.

Too bad they're on vacation until September 9th.

Went there week and half ago...great brick oven pizza and chicken ceaser salad and the roof top....an added plus...(a must visit place in redhook) cheers!!!
  • The LHTR is the major reason that my husband and I make our 6-mile-round-trip walks down to Red Hook. We walk there, drink some beers, share an appetizer or two (or a pizza), and slowly wend our way back to PH. Good times. I can't wait til they come back from vacation!
  • Do they serve anything from Sixpoint other than Sweet Action and Brownstone? I like those beers but I want to try their other offerings and they don't bottle so it's hard to find.

They serve 5-6 of their beers at any given time, so there's definitely going to be different ones for you to try. :)

My husband and I stopped by Sixpoint this past Saturday and took the brewery tour, which I can now highly recommend. Shane, the brewmaster, was informative and entertaining. I'd gladly tour the brewery again, even without the free beer at the end (but don't tell them that I don't need the free beer! Heh.)

I am THERE tomorrow--thanks for the heads-up. This will be the perfect follow-up after food at the Red Hook soccer fields. We were going to go a few weeks ago but we were on a scooter and beer+scooter+cobblestones...bad times.
