Anybody into 'Weeds' and/or 'Californication'? — Brooklynian

Anybody into 'Weeds' and/or 'Californication'?

Subject: Anybody into 'Weeds' and/or 'Californication'?

Been following and enjoying both from the get-go, although I'm a bit disappointed with the new season of "Weeds" so far. Meanwhile, I find it refreshing to see Duchovny play an a-hole convincingly on "Californication". (He does get laid WAY too much, tho.) Good shows. Any thoughts?

  • Majorly devoted to Weeds - but thought season opener was ludicrous - even I know how to dry that pool pot :chef:

Am enjoying Californication - but have hard time trying to figure out how Duchovny go cast - guess it helps to be EP, uh?

Yeah, Nancy coulda used your help. And someone needs to put a bullet in U-Turn's noggin. Soon. (Although I think Haylia's working on it...) Also, that dance scene with the cholos was lame. A gang bang would've been more realistic. (Maybe too much for a dramedy?)

Speaking of casting, what really surprised and shocked me was finding out that one of Duchovny’s onscreen lovers, the very yummy Madeline Zima, was once…the youngest child on The Nanny! Noooo! (Not to mention the little daughter in The Hand That Rocks The Cradle.) Man, did I feel old. And dirty. (She’s 22 now, by the way. And I've gotten over it. heh heh)
  • everyone has to grow up sometime - thankfully

  • absolutely love weeds! not as exciting as last season.

best part of the show ... you expect a gang bang but instead the stereotype is broken by humanizing the characters. i love it!

I see your point and it's a good one. Maybe the execution was off?
