Junior Carnival this Saturday
I want to put in a HEARTY recommendation for folks to attend the Junior Carnival (a.k.a. my favorite event of the year) on Saturday (9/1). It's a mini-version of the parade with kids dressed up in fantastic outfits. Lots of good music, food and fanfare, and much more managable crowds than on Labor Day.
According to WIADCA website, the parade starts at 9am at Kingston and St. Johns and proceeds down St. Johns to Franklin, down Franklin to President and then on to the stage behind the Brooklyn Museum. Don't miss it!

is it free? It sounds like fun!

Ok, 9am is WAY too early for music this loud. I can't believe they allow this...

Why would they have a parade in the morning rather than in the afternoon? Nobody is even outside watching it from what I can see.
Howdy, Stranger!
