Dog's Den does a great job on my Cocker Spaniel. They have great rates too. Be SURE to specify the type of cut you want. They tend to do traditional cocker cuts...which are beautiful but I prefer something between a cocker and puppy cut as it's easier to maintain.
As for vets, do a thread search as its been discussed a few times. For routine stuff, I go to Prospect Park Animal Clinic and also use Dr. Barbara Eisner in Williamsburg for holistic/traditional vet care.
Good luck!

I have 2 Pekes and they have been going to Prospect Park Animal Clinic
for the past 5 years for all services, including boarding and grooming. Our vet is Dr. Leonard B. Silverman - he's fantastic, has lived in the community for years and is also a dog and cat owner as well as a vet.

The groomer who works there is Rod Leite 347-228-5808 - IMHO the best groomer in PS and the best we have ever used. -
thanks for the advice. i went to dogs den and they were super nice. i ended up getting my cocker's skirt shaven off. he looks like he did when he was a puppy. he looks very cute. it is much cleaner and easier this way.
they also said they will be getting a vet on staff. the vet will do simple things like vaccinations. they are close and convenient for me. i will check out prospect park animal clinic if i need more intensive vet care. thank you! -
I can highly recommend Anne the groomer at Animal Kind.. I have two maltese who are known as the dynamic duo. Anne is excellent qualifications as a groomer but mmore than that.. she has a special way with Animals.

"They" would say that because it is based on their experience.
There have been many threads about Vets and groomers so if you are curious you can find that information by searching through archived threads here re vets and groomers and in those posting people definitely say "why" they prefer certain vets and groomers. -
I totally second Rod Leite 347-228-5808 from Homedoggy.com/Prospect Park Animal Clinic (on PPW between 5th and 6th). I've a shih tzu and he always does the very best job on him (and my dog is very very 'shy' around groomers). He's a great guy, graduated top in his grooming school class, is fantastic with dogs, very gentle, attentive understanding and listens to precisely what it is you want. He also grooms in Manhattan but charges a lot more for it!
