$1 million and no washer/dryer?

Maybe this exposes me as a non-native New Yorker, but I'm continually blown away by the number of apartments that are selling for nearly $1 million that have no washer/dryer and don't allow you to install one. Now, we don't currently have one, but we're in a rental... if I'm gonna shell out that kind of cash, I sort of expect to be able to do my laundry in the comfort of my unit. Crazy?

  • not crazy. at all. now that i've lived w/a washer dryer for the first time in my life i can't imagine going back, esp for a million bucks.
  • if by some chance in hell i'm ever able to afford a million dollar home, it better have a washer dryer system that finds your dirty clothes, washes them, dries them, folds them and puts them in my damn drawers for me.
