Where do I rent a tuxedo?

men's warehouse? I guess that's where I'd head if I were attempting to find one.
just a question, tho - are you looking for yourself or the hubster? -
Mr. Medusa is invited to a black-tie affair. My own outfit will be a sure source of anxiety in the coming weeks.

No personal experience, but I thiiiink there's a wedding rental place in Bay Ridge, on 86th St.
(along with the magic of Century 21, although the one downtown is probably better supplied for your ensemble...) -
There's a men's clothing store (either a Today's Man or a Men's Warehouse) in Atlantic Terminal that rents tuxedos. Its a national chain so they have a lot of choices and sizes. The other thing I found was that it was easy to pick up and drop off tuxes as there are tons of them around the city.

I rented from a place on Court Street in Cobble Hill once...quick and easy.
For another tact, I went to Century 21 a few years ago and bought a Calvin Klein tux for $200...paid for in just a couple rentals, and a nice thing for a guy to have in their closet...since I bought it, I've found many ways to use it -- Lincoln Center events, company parties, holiday parties, etc...adds a nice flair to any event. -
I went to Baldwin Formals in Midtown:

I was perfectly happy- it made sense for me to go to Manhattan, so I don't know about places in Brooklyn. -
I always rent from Jack Silver Formal Wear at Columbus Circle. I know it's Manhattan, but it's really one of the best in the city. I've been renting from them for about 10 years now.

I just set up a rental at the Mens Warehouse on Atlantic.
Seem to have good selection and pricing -

Word. You can buy a tux at Century 21 or Syms for the price of two tux rentals without the stress of returning it in time or if such and such stain will come out or did it just catch on that chair, etc., etc.

yeah, I think my husband paid $100 for his tux at Syms & it is just fine.

What did it cost you?

the ones we got were about 120 each. I think they go about 100 and up. it comes with the shoes and cufflinks too. If you get 4, the 5th is free I believe

I've just got the one husband, so I'll just go for one.
Thanks for the tip.
