Seeking loving family with preschooler — Brooklynian

Seeking loving family with preschooler

Hi there,

We are parents of a happy, smart and well-adjusted 2 1/2 yr old girl. We are fully engaged in our child's development.

We work from home during the week but work full days on some weekends. We are hoping to find a family who has a kid about our daughter's age, and is willing, happy and able to take her in on days that we need to be away (typical hours would be from 10am to midnight or 1am). This would be a great way to earn some extra fun money for the family while giving your child a playmate on some weekends.

If you live in the general area and are interested, please email leyda (at)hotmail.com and maybe give me a description of what your family is like, what you like to do, and where you live.

We already use babysitters-- I would really prefer to hear from families.

Thanks!

  • Is this a joke? Posting on a message board seems like a patently unacceptable way to find a babysitter.

Who's to say that some creep won't borrow some neighborhood kid for a few hours to fit your description of a "family who has a kid about our daughter's age"?

You are potentially setting your child up for a VERY DANGEROUS situation. There have to be other ways to find a babysitter.

Ha! Classic response, lanciano. Thanks for trusting the human race.

It's nice of you to look out for this family-- and you express it with so much concern and sincerity.

Dangers exist everywhere. Posting to this board is likely not the only way they're finding who/what they're looking for... can you give Smama the benefit of the doubt to make judgments on the responses she gets, and give the same to the people who do respond to not be the creep you are so intimately referring to?

The world is twisted and mean because of minds like yours.

And I thought these forums gave a semblance of a safe and loving neighborhood...
