Adorable, Sweet Dog in Need of a Loving Home!!!

Hello Fellow Brooklynians,

I am new to this site and am reaching out to you all in hopes of getting a very special animal into a good home. My boyfriend Ben and I have been fostering this sweet dog for a couple of months and need to find her a permanent place to live ASAP. Sadly, because of our unpredictable schedules and lack of time to devote sufficient play, exercise and the attention she needs, we are unable to keep her.

Her name is Lula and she is an adorable, medium-sized (about 50 lbs.), 2 year old Mastiff/Pit Bull Terrier mix. Her coloring is light brown/brindle with little flecks of white on the backs of her paws (photos below). Her tail is docked because when we got her it was badly injured and had to be amputated, poor girl.

Lula is very smart and in the short amount of time we have had her she has learned many things. We think she would be great with a person/couple who has flexible hours and access to a place for her to romp and play. Lula is not aggressive but is spunky and strong so would be best in a home with children over 12 years old. She is good with other dogs.

Lula has a bed, crate, food/water bowls, and a lead & training harness that we will gladly pass along. She is up to date on all shots and is spayed.

There is a $200 adoption fee.

I can vouch for Cara, Ben, and Lula. Hey Cara! This is you know who from you know where (don't give away my secret identity now!). We need pictures of Lula, do you have any on Flickr or Photobucket? Also, is there an adoption fee? Lula is a total sweetheart, I met her when her tail was still healing. Oh, don't forget to tell people about her poor little tail. Good luck and keep me posted!

Lula would be an excellent companion for another dog who needs a friend. I know that if I just had Ripley (my pittie) I would be interested in adopting Lula. She's such a sweet girl with a funny face. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

It's worth trying and it'll get the word out. Then you can post on adoption sites and link to those social pages.
