Berkeley Carroll Child care

I don't know if the all night wait on line is true but I do know that the childcare provided is expensive and excellent.

I really really loved BC - my son was there when he was 3 and it was a fantastic experience for him and me.
I do remember that there was no waiting list for my son (but he was only part-time, plus it was 8 years ago) and he was in the older group. -
but have heard you have to wait outside all night to get an application. True?
It's a local legend... you're referring to the April 4, 2004 NYTimes article by John Freeman Gill :

debunked? The article supports it! -
haha. it's a myth. there's no extended wait time or selling your soul to get your kid in. a lot of the kids in my family went there and most of us went to BC for grade sch as well. It's great education, but pricey.
And no, we did not have cellphones, debit cards or $20 bills. I ain't no lemon.lol -

But this is for the daycare facility near Methodist that opened a few years back, not the junior school on Carroll. Surely you're not that young.

And what is the cellphones, debit cards and $20 bills a reference to? -

I hear it's gotten a lot harder to get into the lower school in recent years. I read somewhere that applications were up almost 50% last year.
germfree!: the cellphone / debit card / $20 bills 'carbs' mentioned was a reference to some other post about 321 kids. Typical Park Slope trashing that's been so common on these boards of late. -
have you checked the reviews on the http://www.parkslopeparents.com website here :
