Crown Heights Canyoneros — Brooklynian

Crown Heights Canyoneros

So with the price of oil and gas going way, way up and heading higher, are we starting to see fewer blinged-out Canyoneros cruising the Parkway yet? (I've been away for couple of months now)

  • I think the people that drive these FARM VEHICLES would sooner go without food than stop driving their mobile ego extenders
  • ITA - I watch the guys on my block who drive navigators and hummers -

Avg. height 5'9" about 160lbs. Single. No kids. No huge pets. Not construction workers. Not into antiquing. Pretty sure they're not coaching and transporting kids athletic teams anywhere. Not into camping. Never travel farther than Long Island or New Jersey and that's just to go the mall or a buddy's house.

They just woke up one morning and decided "You know what I need? A 6,000 pound car that costs $60 bucks a pop to fill up."

    Sensible.
  • What kills me are the big ass rims on these SUV's, they're at odds with the original purpose of the vehicle. I imagine the rims would crack if they hit a pothole a little too hard. I still giggle when I see any of these around.

  • Well, you know what they say about men with big cars...

...that they are lacking in (ahem) another department...
