Family portraits

I'm looking to get a decent picture taken of me and the boys to send to family members. I found these two here:

I wanted to get something a little upscale from JC Penny or Target, but I don't have unlimited funds either, so I may just end up going that route. $200-300 is OK though, which looks like is doable with most of these.

So does anyone have any comments on any of these folks/studios, or other recommendations in Brooklyn or Manhattan? Thanks.

I liked James Burger's stuff best. Those were some awesome family portraits.

the kristina hill photos are really nice. great use of color, and everyone looks pretty natural and in their element.

There's a photo studio on Sixth Ave between Union and President (next door to the upscale grocery store, Union Market)
I don't know anything about them, other than the pictures in the windows of kids and parents are pretty fantastic.

Thanks for the comments. I sent some emails out, and we are going to go with Kristina Hill. I think her style most fits what I would like to do. Additionally, in doing my typical due diligence background research (which consists of google searches for horror stories, more or less) I found that she does volunteer work for children with Autism. The whole local, volunteer, friendly email, and reasonable cost thing sealed it. We will get shot next weekend, probably in Prospect Park. I'll post back, hopefully with a big thumbs up sometime thereafter.

We ended up with some really amazing pictures. Kristina was affordable, professional, and worked well with us. We ended up with a large number of great photos to choose from. The prints are wonderful, and it is easy for us to get more. The website she set up makes it very simple for me to direct family members to order their own, if they want any above and beyond what I am giving them. I also want to mention that although we didn't end up going with James Burger, I was impressed by his work. He seems like a good fellow in the emails he has sent me, and is another local Brooklynite. http://www.jamesburger.com
