Rec Good professional Hair Salon for WashSetBlow out ???

I have gone to a few places in CHs and have been really dissatisfied with the service. In one shop I waited (the only person in salon waiting) for the stylist to show - I was told she would be back in a few minutes, and when she arrived 40 mins later she said she was closed...on another occassion I waited, she arrived , she left, her staff called her 30 mins later and she said come back in 30 mins, I returned 30 mins later and she never showed up. Another friend of mine has has similar experiences.

Where can one find a professional hair salon in the CH/Prospect Heights area. It would be ideal to find a place that would take appointments.
Thanks

  • Quirsi on the corner Kingston and Dean. You don't need an appointment.
I'm satisfied with their services, prices and treatment.
  • Great salon on Vanderbuilt between Dean and Bergen. It's owned by a woman named Winsome who worked at Time Salon on Fulton in Fort Greene before opening her own place. I walked in, got a great cut and very good treatment without an appointment. Plus, the place is cozy, the girls are nice. I listened to Bob Marley the whole time. I can't remember the name exactly, but I went there because Winsome had cut my hair before. I got a stylist named Kim who was great. If you just go to that block, you'll see it. It's all orange and yellow and cozy.
It's acroos the street from Tyrell's Barber Shop, which is under renovation.
  • But if you're closer to the place on Kingston and Dean, you might give that a try first. I've heard good things about their service.
