OK, I'm not that hysterical, but I would like to roast a chicken this evening, and won't have time to swing by a market after work. Anyone know of a butcher/store that will deliver one to my home after 6?

  • there was chickens plucking around in the backyard of an apartment i check out on Suydam St. in Bushwick. They were some hefty hens.
  • I know the chickens you're talking about!!! I've seen them
  • you don't happen to know why they're there do ya?? i assume a tenant in the building owns them? i asked the realtor who i think also owned the building and he had no clue. they looked like good eatin' birds.
  • Subject: backyard chickens

there was a very interesting piece on npr about backyard chickens in brooklyn. evidently, it's the next big neighbor e neighbor crisis.

You seem to have been thinking along the same lines as I was when I read the subject line. My first thought was, "Why on earth would someone need live poultry in PS, and why would they be asking around here?"
