El Pollo Great Spot for Good Chicken

We had a late night dinner at El Pollo last night and highly recommend the place if you want very inexpensive but good Peruvian chicken. Great curly fries too.

The owner is from Peru and was the cook in the no longer there but original Manhattan El Pollo and this is her own store now.

It's quick and very inexpensive. I hope they can make it on 5th Avenue between 1st and 2nd Streets with those high rents!

Yeah I reviewed this place when it opened and in retrospect I gave it too nice a review, it PALES in comparison to El Gran Carneviento.
Unfortunately, with the rent prices in PS (causing the higher menu price tag) I think their pollo is subpar to the slightly further away options.

I do feel bad that they're often empty. All in all they are cheap enough and it's nice to have something around that feeds 2 for under $15 bucks.
I do hope they make it.

Agreed- great chicken, and a great take out dinner. I wonder if they do a lot of take-out business since the decor is minimal. I do hope they stay in business.
