The Haitian Baptist Church (just east of Prospect Pl./Vanderbilt, on the north side of the street) is having a fundraiser BBQ today and tomorrow. They've been out at lunchtime, and the lady who was grilling when I walked by said they'd be there til about 8ish. They were making various types of jerk chicken, plus they had mac and cheese and stuff, and the sign said the price was around $5-7. It looked really good and I felt bad that I was just coming back from having a junky, rushed lunch in Manhattan because this looked a lot tastier.

So, if you're looking for inexpensive, homemade food today or tomorrow, you might want to stop by. Particularly now that so many of the BBQ joints are gone.
