  • I love Flirt on 5th ave, but can't really afford it right now.
Damn, but their skirts and bags are so cool!

There's another good shop just past it towards Atlantic, but I forget the name. Same side of the street.
  • There are so many cute (but pricey) boutiques on 5th ave. You could also try Something Else on 5th and Union. They have nice stuff, but again, are pricey.
  • My wife loves Lucia on 5th - really cool clothes. 5th has lots of women's boutiques plus Brooklyn Industries.
  • As well as all the newer boutique places on 5th Ave... I can recommend Lisa Polansky on 7th Ave and City Casuals on 7th Ave.
Hey in my weaker moments I have picked up a cheap tee shirt at Jeans Express on 5th Ave bet 7th and 8th Street and a reasonable walk to Atlantic Terminal will get you to Marsha;;s and Target and Dsw Shoes and Daffy's. Bottom line is there is plenty of reasonable shopping in the Slope and certainly in Brooklyn. If you are willing to get on the bus or train for just afew stops and 15 minutes more you can go to Century, the Gap.. blah, blah. I am really a Brookyn Girl and if I think about it, since I don't work in Manhattan it is rare that I go to "The City" to shop for anything.
  • Serene Rose on 5th Avenue has nice things. I also love Lucia.

How about the new jeans store on Garfield Place? Anyone been there yet?
