Nice site! But don't be dissing the 99cent ramen packs. That shit got me through some lean college years

I still have it every once in a while, but I usually sauté some slices of beef and veggies while soaking the noodles in hot water. Add the noodles when soft (but not the water!) and the spices and you have a cheap, quick & easy meal.

I get the Korean ramen like Shin Ramyun or Neoguri and add stuff to them, like fish balls, dumplings, mushrooms, sliced radish, spinach, etc.

mMmm RAMEN.

Now I want Bimbibob! wah.

Ramen was one of the finest things to happen to young struggling touring musicians. I developed just an affinity for it on the road that I still buy it and eat it regularly. It's such an easy food to get creative with and above all, it's cheap as hell!

Hello!! Still a struggling grad student...who says you can't get a fulfilling meal for twenty cents a pack plus a few little add-ons thrown in to fancy it up a little bit.
-
Careful. Just don't make that the only thing you eat. I know a girl who gave herself scurvy that way.
-
what exactly is scurvy (asks the graduate student)?
-
scurvy from ramen? pirates musta loved that stuff.
-
Scurvy is a disease of the connective tissues caused by a lack of vitamin C.

Is there ANYTHING that didn't happen to you or someone that you personally know? -

That answer to that my friend is NO.
I find in general that when you're messed up, messed up things happen to you. Just an observation. -

Ate ramen all freshman year (do NOT ask what year)- no scurvy, I just gained 15 friggin pounds. That sucked, so I stay away from it.
