jerk tofu?? omg. how did I not know about this place?? while I love meat, I also love veggie delights like tofu. and the though of jerk tofu, done well, makes me kinda happy. so ... are there other places in the nabe I can get this? and is the owner thinking of relocating to another space??

Ital Shak on Nostrand between St. John's Place and Sterling has jerk tofu pasties. They're good and they're cheap.

Truly, this closing is bad news for vegetarians and I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to get out there. On the plus side, there are LOTS of veggie restaurants nearby on Nostrand Avenue.

there is no place like veggie castle, no other experience. the closing is such a shame.
