Bodega cats soon to be out of work
It's a couple of days old, but did you see this article in the Times...?

Real dumb. Most bodegas have packaged food only, which should keep food free of cat contamination, and most owners are smart enough to keep cats out of food preparation areas.
But rodents can get into packaged goods, and that's much MORE of a health threat. Also, cats keep the bugs down because they like to chase and eat them too.
Which would you prefer, a bodega with a cat or a bodega that smells of rats? (I've never seen a rat in a bodega, but I've smelled them. Made me not even want to buy kitty litter at their store.)
Howdy, Stranger!
