Police activity on Clinton Ave today?

Anyone know why Clinton Ave was blocked off tonight near the south campus of the Clinton Hill co-ops?

I don't know but I sure am curious. When I drove by at 430, the whole block from Lafayette to Greene was taped off, about 10 cop cars and other vehicles, plus the actual pedestrian entrance to the Co-Ops was taped off with crime tape.

Looks like more than just your day to day cop activity!

Just read this on the Clinton Hill blog. Don't know if it's what really happened....

"I live in the neighborhood and when I went to run an errand about an hour ago, the block on Clinton Ave. btw Lafayette & Greene was filled w/police cars and trucks, word is that in the Clinton Hill Coops there was (depending on the version) a man holding family at gunpoint/a murderer trying to commit suicide and people who live in the complex could not enter their apartments. I don’t see anything in the news but this has been going on for a while this afternoon."
