Sunday night karaoke at Cherry Tree Bar — Brooklynian

Sunday night karaoke at Cherry Tree Bar

So two friends of mine -- just a couple of Brooklyn gals -- have taken over hosting karaoke night on Sundays at Cherry Tree Bar on 4th Avenue between Bergen and St. Marks. It starts every Sunday at 9pm. I hadn't been to the bar before going to the karaoke night last week, so I don't know what the place is like the rest of the time, but at least for this it was a really friendly crowd, the staff was nice, and there was a good beer selection with some affordable options.

Thought any karaoke fiends out there would want to know!

I'm probably going to go tonight, since I don't have to work tomorrow morning.

  • Ill prolly be there! it IS my favourite bar. I'm about 6'6 , 240lbs.redhead African Australian male wearing stretch pants and a pink fitted cowboy hat, singing "ill be there for you" (the Rembrants, not bon jovi)

You better be tellling the truth, because if there IS a big dude in a pink cowboy hat I'm going to ask him to do a duet with me!

  • All hail Quijibo, fixer of the bar's messed-up karaoke system!

Otherwise, not as fun a crowd this time, but I'm hoping it'll be as fun as it was last week again. My rendition of "Three Times a Lady" was woefully underappreciated.
