Please
join us for the reception for a show of paintings by Kikuko
Doi, the
February show for PLG Arts Tugboat Local Artists series. It will
be at the Tugboat
Tea Company, 546 Flatbush Avenue,
between Lincoln Road and Beekman Place.

“I
was born in Japan where I graduated from SEIAN University of art and
design. I have been studying at The Art Students League of New York
as an international student for Since I moved to New York four years
ago.

My
objects of interest have been changing since I left Japan; portraits
to still life, still life to landscape. I think this is because of
the stimulus of many things surrounding me in New York.

I
am enjoying these changes a lot. I am happy that I could have a
chance to show these paintings together. I hope that you enjoy these
also.”

The
reception for this show will be on Thursday, February 20th,
from 6–9 PM.
