Green Festival $5,000 Grant for Green Community Projects - Accepting Applications
Green Festival, the largest and longest-running sustainability event in the U.S., will be coming to New York City this April 26-27, to Pier 94, at 55th Street and West Side Highway.
This year, Green Festival will recognize local non-profits that are working to build sustainability programs in their neighborhoods. For those in the Brooklynian community who work at a non-profit, or know of an organization that could benefit from the $5,000 grant, applications are being accepted online at http://www.greenfestivals.org/awards.
To be considered, non-profits must be located within 60 miles of New York City, and their green projects must have a direct benefit to the local community. A panel of judges will select and invite five non-profit finalists to promote their projects at Green Festival, April 26-27 and the winner will be selected by public vote during the event.
Green Festival will take place at Pier 94 on Saturday, April 26-27. The show will offer a wide range of environmentally-friendly products and services from food, fashion, pets, kids, yoga and health, to energy, construction and design. You’re invited to shop and enjoy vegan, vegetarian, organic foods, hands-on demos, family-friendly activities, film screenings, DIY workshops and live entertainment.
