You have an opportunity help improve the appearance of Park Slope

Do you know of a recently or about to be completed renovation,
new building or storefront that has enhanced the appearance of Park Slope?  If you do, the Park Slope Civic Council would like to consider it for an award.

In order to encourage architects, contractors, developers
and home and store owners to try to improve the streeetscape our historic
neighborhood, the Park Slope Civic Council has established the Evelyn and Everett
Ortner Park Slope Preservation Awards.  The awards are named after the couple who did so much to make Park Slope the vibrant community that it is today.  

There are six categories of awards: Exterior Restoration,
Exterior Rehabilitation, Adaptive Reuse, New Construction, Storefront Design
and Neighborhood Intervention.

The due date for applications for awards has been extended
one month to October 1, 2014.

Please help protect the appearance of Park Slope by
