PLG Arts Chamber Music Series presents the Brooklyn Guitar Quartet
Arts Chamber Music will present an afternoon of contemporary chamber music
performed by the Brooklyn Guitar Quartet On Sunday, October 26.; Following a successful two-concert first season, this is the first event of the fall in Prospect Lefferts Gardens.
The Brooklyn Guitar Quartet (BGQ) began life in 2006 as an ensemble training
project at the Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music. Now permanent, and no longer affiliated
with the college, the current line-up includes Lars Frandsen, professor of
music at Nyack and Brooklyn Colleges; Jesse Miller, guitar instructor at James
Madison High School (and 30 year PLG resident); Carlos Cuestas, DMA candidate
at the CUNY Graduate Center; and John Olson, scientist and president of the NYC
Classical Guitar Society
The mission of PLG Arts is to promote the arts, support local artists, and build
community through celebrating the vibrant creativity of the residents of
Prospect-Lefferts Gardens and surrounding neighborhoods. For more information,
