Free after-school ice skating program
Brooklyn’s only free after-school ice skating program starts November 10, 2014 at the new LeFrak Center, Lakeside, in Prospect Park.
Brooklyn Ice will offer free ice skating classes on Mondays and Wednesdays afternoon, with on-ice skating instruction, off-ice fitness, homework help, and lots more. Program time is from 4:00 pm to 6:30. The skating program ends with an ice skating show for the Brooklyn community in March 2015.
Students who live or go to school in Brooklyn, are in 1st through 8th grade and are eligible for the free/reduced lunch program are invited to apply for the Brooklyn Ice Skating Program.
Students must be registered in advance. The application deadline is October 30, 2014, but limited spots remain, so please apply now. Preliminary registration at:http://goo.gl/forms/
