This December, Brooklyn women’s choir Bella Voce Singers, under the direction of Jessica Corbin, will present the concert event “Inspire” with the Premiere of "Rhythms of the R", by local composer Joshua Davis.

Join Us and Be Inspired:

December 6th at 7pm at St Charles Borromeo Church in Brooklyn Heights
Dec 14th at 3pm at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Bay Ridge

The program also features Abbie Betinis’ “Chant for Great Compassion.” Ms. Betinis calls the Chant a piece for “anyone in any need or trouble. It is about calling out for strength and courage – as individuals and also on behalf of our generation.”  This piece is paired with the work “Malala” by Joan Szymko, which takes the text from a speech by Malala Yousafzai, the newest Nobel Peace Prize recipient.  Other works in the program are by Franz Biebl, Elizabeth Alexander, and Greg Jasperse, among others.

Bella Voce Singers is a Brooklyn-based women’s choir dedicated to excellence in choral singing. BVS performs a diverse repertoire with an emphasis on works by contemporary composers. www.bellavocesingers.com
