It's primary day in NYC, we have a few hotly contested local races, and some statewides that matter . . . and I'm wondering about turnout.

If you voted, what number were you at the polling station today?

can't get the onion site to work right, but i'm the kind of democracy geek who even votes in primaries.

i was number 24 at my quardrant of the ps 22 gym at about 9:15 or so.

evening and late afternoon voters have all been in the 50<100 range

that's some low turnout
meaning each of our votes means even more, right?

i suppose this ship has sailed, but fyi it was am. and i think the number was only for whatever magic they used to assign me to one particular station of the 4 in the gym (voting precinct?)

Ooops. I didn't see this till just now, but I did vote.

I miss the little "I voted!" stickers we used to get in Kansas.
