LOOSE DOG: REDDISH-BROWN WEIMARANER/RIDGEBACK TYPE, LONG TAIL IN LIME/YELLOW REFLECTOR JACKET

Dog on Loose - Park Slope AND/OR PROSPECT PARK

On 8th and President my husband saw a
dog running across 8th avenue, heading west on President. He looked
like he was limping while running-he was petrified. His appearance is
like a reddish-brown Weimaraner (might be a Ridgeback) . Short straight
hair, long smooth tail, dropped ears. He was wearing a
lime-green/yellow reflector jacket that was half-way off. One of the
front legs was out of it. It looked like he had on a nylon collar.

We almost caught
him but he turned and ran east on President towards the park. We chased
him into the park to get him off the streets, because he kept almost
getting hit by cars. We lost him in Prospect Park. He was headed
south-east in the park. We asked other people in the park and they said
they saw him still running through it.

Please let me know where else I can call or report him. If the owners
are calling around looking for him, we want them to know where he was
last seen.
