Put Your Garbage in Front of Your Own House
Please, please, please... put your garbage infront of your own house! My neighbor thinks it is ok to stack his garbage cans right infront of my front door. He has plenty of unobstructed sidewalk to put his garbage cans on. He must not like the cans infront of his house, so he thinks it is ok to put them infront of mine. It is very annoying. Plus, he does not recycle. So if he gets a ticket, they are likely to ticket me.
Ok, I know, this is not about poverty, the strife in the Middle East, or anything else that bad, but it is annoying. I'm done bitching. Thanks.

I agree with you -- that is really annoying. My former next-door neighbors used to do this, and then to make things even more annoying, they wouldn't bring the garbage cans back in after the garbage was collected, so the empty garbage cans would sit in front of my house for days or until I put them back in my neighbors' yard. :x Luckily, they moved.

The neighbors on the other side sort of understand the concept of recycling, but they have no idea what gets recycled, or what day the recycling gets picked up. -
I don't get why your neighbor would do this. Isn't easier for them to just put out the trash in front of their place instead of dragging it to the neighbor's?
At least your neighbors put out their trash for collection. My neighbors never recycle and often forget to put out the trash, so their overflowing cans sit there festering. -

Have you talked to him about it?

The dumpster in my avatar has nothing to do with it. And no - I have not spoken to my neighbor about it. I don't want him to think I am petty! ;-)

I don't think it's petty, given that you could be fined for your neighbor's trash. -- which also gives you a perfectly good reason to give to your neighbor for asking that he put his garbage in front of his own damn house! -
sounds like the sloppy job of my building's "building manager." if we're lucky, this guy shows up once a week and sorts out the garbage and drags the cans into the streets. we've spoken to the landlord and "building manager," but the "building manager" still leaves eye sores outside and in the hallway.

I, too, am wondering what the motive is...seems like your neighbor is doing more work than necessary.

My neighbor has a tree right infront of his gate. He can go left and put the garbage infront of my house, or he can go right and put the garbage infront of his house. Same amount of work.
I don't think he does it on purpose or even that he realizes what he is doing. All I am saying is that it annoys me. -
I know a guy who knows a guy who can get rid of that tree for 50 bucks.
