Someone might soon pay $3.5M for a house on President St

The ad doesn't tell us the exact address, or give us an exterior shot.
It looks like the kitchen has two stovetops, which indicates either the present owners had a kosher kitchen, or it has been recently remodeled in anticipation that the buyer will want one.

6% of $3.5M would be a nice commission.

Thanks, SROCK.
That puts it right by New York Avenue

You can also see from the book shelfs and the sukkah in the backyard its a jewish home.

Indeed.
And, if I may say so, the listing agents seem as if they are prepared to answer any questions we may have in this regard.

Similar house on president between Brooklyn and Kingston, closer to Brooklyn, is on sale for $2.3 million. 1345 President Street: http://www.aptsandlofts.com/sales/1345-president-street-unit-brooklyn-ny-11213I would venture to say that this one has more potential.

It's quite a beautiful home but it seems funny that the TV is mounted on the wall in the dining room. Guess they don't like to converse over dinner.

I have a hunch that this isn't the way the house was lived in. The furniture seems to be staged for the pictures. Also look how close the accent chairs are to the dinning room table and the empty room with the desk which is not in the same place for both pics of the room. -
Based on the number of computer monitors in the various rooms and the multipurpose printer-copier-fax machine, it would not suprise me if the last resident worked at least part of the time from home.
The prominantly mounted TVs could have been used to show Bloomberg business 24 hours a day.

Highly likely.

I read the Bloomberg website quite a bit but I never watch the TV channel. It's just not that interesting.

The owner could have switched between Bloomberg, CNN Money and Haaretz.

It would surprise me if the Cartoon Network was on, but it is possible. http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/ -

This property was in contract within 3 days. They had more than 5 above ask offers.I would venture to say that this one has more potential. -
There are houses comparable in size and price available in Crown Heights North, such as this one on Bergen and NY Ave. This one is asking $2.3M
