Super-amazing plumbing supply store?? — Brooklynian

Super-amazing plumbing supply store??

Ok, so I just bought a used washer/dryer from a friend, which is probably the most adult thing I've done thus far. Thing is, it's a older Kenmore model, Sears doesn't make them anymore, and I need to find whatever kind of bit of plumbing hardware it is which will connect the hose to my sink faucet. I can't tell by looking at it (doesn't seem to be a typical male/female type of thing), and I can't remove the hose from the washing machine in order to bring it around with me from store to store.

So I'm hoping someone might know of a superincredible plumbing kind of store, filled with incredibly knowledgable staff, who really really know their stuff. I can take a digital pic of the hose and bring it with me, but other than that I'm kind of stuck.

The superincredible plumbing shop doesn't need to be in CH, anywhere in Brooklyn or Manhattan would be fine...

Thanks!

  • If you have a car and some time there is a great plumbing supply place on Myrtle just off of Bedford. I'm not exactly sure of the cross streets but it is on the right-hand side if you are going west (towards downtown) on Myrtle. You can't miss it because they usually have a bunch of sinks and radiators sitting outside.

Go in with your picture and they should be able to help you find what you need. My contrator used to run there when he needed supplies before the HD opened on this end of Brooklyn.
  • Right across from Pintchik, on Flatbush, is J&G Plumbing. Jerry is the owner, he's an old school plumber that can fix anything. Sorry I don't have his number here, but you can walk in, and most likely he's got your part right there. I would bring a picture if you can of the connection.

  • Ya'll rock, thank you so much!
  • Subject: Kevin and Richard's

The place on Myrtle is called Kevin and Richard's: I highly recommend them, since they've provided excellent advice and supplies for everything from hot water heater caps to steam valves to union connectors.
