Dogs that are tied up outside while owners go to run even the shortest of errands are being stolen left and right in this city!!! 

The likelihood of getting your beloved dog back are close to zero when your dog has been stolen from being left unattended and tied to a pole while you run into the corner store "for just one minute". 

Heads up -- Dogs that are stolen this way are often sold off for quick money, sold off to laboratories for horrific testing practices, or used as bait in dog-fighting rings!!!!  YES -- THIS IS HORRIBLE TO HEAR, BUT IT IS THE UGLY TRUTH!!!!

PLEASE - IT IS NOT WORTH IT!!!! DO NOT PUT YOUR BELOVED DOG IN RIDICULOUSLY UNNECESSARY DANGER!!!

JUST TAKE 5 EXTRA MINUTES, AND DROP YOUR DOG OFF AT HOME, AND THEN GO RUN YOUR ERRANDS WHILE YOUR BEST FRIEND IS SAFE AT HOME WAITING FOR YOU TO RETURN!!! PLEASE!!!

YES! A thousand times YES!

A few years ago, I posted that my neighbor witnessed a small dog who was tied up outside Keyfood on Washington Ave get killed by a dog off-leash. She held the dog in her arms and it died in a few short minutes. 

Dog was dead by the time the owner came out. It was tragic and SO unnecessary. Total negligence on the part of the dog owner who has a rep for letting her dangerous dog off-leash, but the owner who leaves her dog tied up is basically a sitting duck for anything that could happen, be it an attack or dog napping. 

Anytime anyone leaves their pet unattended- you are ASKING for trouble. Be an idiot, who cares, but don't be so selfish to put your pet in any possible danger. 

Gotta hit the supermarket and need to walk your dog? DO IT SEPARATELY!!!!! Get some exercise ya lazy asshole.
