Warm Weather Crime in CH and PLG -- 2015 Edition
Starting this, but also want to discuss trends. I watch a lot of News 12 Brooklyn and I keep up on all the local blogs. I am a huge local events dork. Does anyone else notice that a lot of the most recent shootings have been in PLG/East Flatbush, and not so much in CH/Eastern CH? Over the past few years, there has been a lot of gun violence in CH (fortunately, with few deaths). Now it seems, to my untrained eye, that the gun violence is moving south. Theories?

The area served by Crown Heights SOS (the square formed by Utica, EP, Atlantic, and Kingston) just went about 90 days without a shooting that resulted in an injury.
A very long period for the area.
I'd like to believe this is due to the work of SOS Crown Heights but also suspect it was helped by the cold winter, less street level drug dealing, and poor aim by shooters.
