@whynot_31, how does one confirm whether there will be an affordable component?
-
Buildings often start out "as of right", which does not mandate any affordable housing.
Later on, they decide whether apply for a 421a, which does require same.
So, it may be too early to determine whether this building would like to have affordable units.
Once such a deal is arranged, HPD pretty reliably puts a "Building Affordable Housing for New Yorkers" banner on the blue plywood.
Readers, we are in eastern Crown Heights, between Utica and Rochester. -
Any Update On the above mentioned sites?
-
In mid Dec, one of the sites rec'd permission to build a sidewalk shed.
-
I actually just spoke to my friend that lives there one building is fully erected and the corner building is up to the thrid floor
-
Nice!
I assume they will be rentals....
I need to get east of Nostrand more than I do.
-
Yes you do whynot_31!
-
One must remember that the majority of my posts stem from information learned while walking my dog.
After about 20 mins, we turn around and go back home. So, I need to get a dog who can walk further in 20 min. -
I see the second building is half up
-
how to get further on a 40-minute dog walk -
I need not only that contraption, but also that dog.
...mine will be 15 years old in April. -
Can anyone post updated pictures?
-
This article was published today, and includes a recent shot: http://forgotten-ny.com/2016/02/ford-street-crown-heights/
-
It is looking a lot like the rendering in the first post.
-
Almost done.
-
Any updates on this? Affordable housing? Rentals?
-
It is strange that I was not able to find any listings yet. They might be having CO problems, or in the process of entering a contract with a property management company, of an entity like the Department of Homeless Services.
-
From your mouth to God's ears, @whynot_31
-
I suspect the owners will do what is in their best interests
