Sumi - New Sushi Place opens at 287 Flatbush

In case Taro, Geido and Kami weren't all the sushi you need in one quarter-mile stretch of Flatbush Ave., now there's Sumi at 287 (between Prospect and St. Marks).  Open since July and already highly rated on Yelp.   Reviewers are liking the food and the prices.  And they note that there's pleasant outdoor dining in back. I'm not a big sushi fan, but my wife is, so we'll be checking this out soon.

Our favorite sushi place is Yamato at 168 7th Ave in Park Slope (at 1st
St, next to Bareburger).  Their Singapore Noodle has become my favorite
dish anywhere.  Extra-favorite becuase it's under $10, even at dinner.
