I hope some underpaid jounalist does a follow-up article on this.

It would discuss how much the Parks Department will raise from this endeavor, and report how it builds on similar events in the past: Concerts, food trucks, movie shoots etc.

It would tell us what % of the overall budget now comes from such efforts, and imply that if people want nice parks, someone is going to have to pay for them.

....and the city gov has said they are not going to be the ones.
