Do you know of, or are you involved in, any recent renovations, rehabilitations, new buildings or interventions that help enhance the appearance of our historic community?  If so, the Park Slope Civic Council would like to hear from you.

Nominations and applications are being sought for the 2015 Evelyn and Everett Ortner Park Slope Preservation Awards.  They are named in honor of the couple who, beginning in the1960s, were leaders in the effort to transform Park Slope, then a neighborhood in decline, into the vibrant community that it is today.

There are six categories of awards:  Exterior Restoration, Exterior Rehabilitation, Adaptive Reuse, New Construction, Storefront Design and Neighborhood Intervention.  The objective of the awards is to encourage projects and activities that preserve the character of our historic neighborhood. The recipients are selected by a distinguished panel of six judges who are experts in architecture and historical preservation.

Detailed information about the awards program and its rules together with information about last year's award winners can be found on the Park Slope Civic Council's website: ParkSlopeCivicCouncil.org.
