Local non-profits or charities that could use donated items?

I'm cleaning house and have a few things I'm going to bring to Goodwill, but before I do, I'd love to see if a local non-profit, community group, or charity could use them. For instance, I've got two DVD players and some kitchen supplies. Any suggestions, or should I just haul this stuff to Goodwill?
